Apple Kutchen

Crust
1 cup flour
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chilled butter
Filling
4 cups apples, peeled and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Topping
1/2 cup flour
4 Tbsp. chilled butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
- Mix crust ingredients together with a pastry blender and press into the bottom of an 8x8 or 9x9 baking dish.
- Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon so all are coated evenly. Place on top of crust.
- Mix topping ingredients with a pastry blender and then sprinkle evenly over the apples.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 50 - 60 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
